General Teacher

The Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual with the creativity and passion for education to teach across a range of subjects and provide cover for classes in the absence of teachers as and when required across the whole curriculum through Years 7 to 11.

We provide expert ECT support, training, and guidance in the successful candidate’s subject specialism. We have successfully supported 14 ECTs over the last 2 years and have a close working relationship with Bath Spa University as we are part of Avon Schools Partnership which provide CPD for ECTs. In addition, we are able to consider candidates who wish to have flexible working hours.

The successful candidate will have outstanding subject knowledge in their subject area and be adaptable to teach lessons as directed and planned by class teachers in all subject areas.  

You may be required to accompany students on trips, and you will be asked to support the Behaviour Centre in addition to other administrative duties when you are not covering for absent staff. 

The successful applicant will be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is able to make the significant contribution required to secure the very best outcomes for all students at The Corsham School. As part of our Induction Programme, full training will be given on our classroom procedures and protocols.

The Corsham School is part of a small Multi Academy Trust serving the market town of Corsham and surrounding villages. It is situated in North Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, 8 miles from Bath and within easy reach of the M4.
