The Role

We are looking for an experienced Careers Professional or someone with a keen interest in becoming a Careers Professional to join our team and play a key role in embedding Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) across all aspects of our school. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can build on our current provision, ensuring that students have the support they need to make informed decisions about their futures through a variety of meaningful experiences. If you have the ability to develop and coordinate a range of careers-related activities, helping students to develop their career management skills and broaden their aspirations, we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of current CEIAG best practice and will be proactive in keeping this knowledge up to date. We are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent communication skills, able to build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and external partners. You will bring an enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative approach to planning, coordinating, and delivering a careers programme that engages all students and meets the Gatsby Benchmarks.

The Careers Advisor will work closely with the Head of Corsham 6th, the Lead Teacher of PSHE, and other colleagues to deliver the CEIAG strategy, ensuring the programme is both comprehensive and dynamic. A key aspect of the role will involve conducting one-to-one sessions with students, providing them with impartial advice and guidance, and supporting them in making informed choices about their education, training, and career options.

If you are passionate about the importance of career guidance as a tool for social justice and social mobility and want to make a lasting difference to young people’s futures, we encourage you to apply.

If you are interested in becoming a Careers Adviser for our school but don’t currently hold the relevant qualifications, we would like to hear from you as we can provide training to Level 6 Careers Guidance for the successful applicant funded through The Careers and Enterprise Company https://www.careersandenterprise.co.uk/
