Knowledge Organisers:

Knowledge Organisers provide the core knowledge from our curriculum that the students are required to know to meet curriculum expectations. They are an excellent resource to use for revision in preparation for assessments or examinations.

The KS4 Subject Specific Knowledge Organisers and the link to the KS3 termly booklet can be found in the "In this section" tab at the top right hand side of this page.

Curriculum Information

At the Corsham School, Drama is a never-ending opportunity to explore yourself and the world around you. It promotes confidence, self-belief and requires an enquiring mind. Through group work, drama explores problem-solving skills, cooperation, creativity and teaches respect.

Students develop their learning through devised and scripted work. They have the opportunity to perform on a regular basis and develop key life skills in communication and diplomacy.

GCSE Drama is a popular choice and students have the opportunity to see professional live performance work as well as craft their own highly-disciplined productions, while studying drama giants like Brecht and Stanislavski.

A Level drama is a rich and interesting mix of drama appreciation and a further development of their performance skills.

There is a major school production every year which is open to all students. This is a whole school event with big casts on stage and an army of helper backstage, building sets, operating the lighting and sound desk and running front of house. There are other numerous opportunities to take part in drama throughout the year including a Shakespeare project and a drama club.
